Once this ammo power has been equipped, it lasts until it's replaced by another power or, in some cases, until the mission ends.
It works well against Krogans, gunships, YMIR mechs and armored soldiers standing between Shepard and the completion of their mission. It tears through layers of armor to expose the bodies and electrical systems underneath so they can be destroyed.
The Armor Piercing ammo power is relatively basic.
